Ambulances: Basic & Advanced Life Support
If you organize or hold events – large or small – you recognize how important it is to put forethought into safety, including mobile medical services. This forethought can make a life-altering difference in how any given emergency plays out. Event Medical Staffing Solutions has the resources – including a fleet of ambulances at the ready – necessary to bolster your peace of mind and help make your gathering proceed as smoothly as possible.
When You Need an Ambulance
The time to recognize that you need an ambulance at an event shouldn’t be when an emergency arises. Whenever people gather in relatively large numbers, the risk that a dangerous medical concern will occur increases significantly, and being well-prepared to address such an occurrence is key. Event Medical Staffing Solutions has a robust fleet of top-quality ambulances that we own, skillfully operate, and staff, which helps to ensure that you’ll be ready if one or more of your attendees require transport to a medical facility.
On-Site Care
The first line of defense when it comes to safety is on-site care, which we offer in all the following forms
- First-aid stations
- Medical tents
- Operational medical units – with 15 beds and ER-quality services
On-site care is a critical component of overall safety, but sometimes, transportation to a hospital or ER is called for, and when that’s the case, we have ambulances at the ready.
BLS Ambulances
Basic life support ambulances or BLS ambulances offer ground transportation along with the provision of medically necessary services and supplies. BLS providers can only administer select medications, do CPR, or employ an AED, but they don’t have the authorization necessary to perform invasive procedures.
ALS Ambulances
Advanced life support ambulances offer more comprehensive services, which include administering a wider range of medications and performing more invasive procedures.
These services are divided into Level 1 (ALS1) and Level 2 (ALS2).
ALS1 services include basic ALS services that are performed by ALS personnel – who must be paramedics or at the EMT-intermediate level. ALS2 services, on the other hand, include more extensive procedures, such as endotracheal intubation, central venous lines, cardiac pacing, and surgical airway.
Our fleet of ambulances includes both BLS and ALS, and we’ll help you establish the balance of services you need. By addressing your potential ambulance needs upfront, you can rest assured that you won’t overly burden local services, that you have the services you need at the ready, and that you won’t need to coordinate a local dedicated ambulance to be on standby.
